Dr. David Kateete wins a National Institutes of Health/FOGARTY INTERNATIONAL CENTER grant . The project titled: ‘Nurturing Genomics and Bioinformatics Research Capacity in Africa (BReCA)’ will run for five years under grant number 1U2RTW010672-01.

Public Health Relevance: The advent of high-throughput sequencing technologies that yield huge amounts of data has rendered bioinformatics expertise relevant in clinical and biomedical research. BRecA provides quality local bioinformatics training programs that will contribute to improved health of African human communities.
